Colson Baker, also known as Machine Gun Kelly, is known for his distinct style of singing. Baker was born on 22 April 1990, in Houston Texas U.S. into a family that was of English Scottish and German descent. His parents were missionaries and during his initial years he traveled a lot with them. The father James Colson Baker struggled with depression and unemployed as did his mom Sonia Alane left them when he was nine. Baker moved to Denver with his dad and lived there for some time. Baker received a lot of attention from fellow children because of his lack of wealth. When he was in sixth grade, he began listening to rap. Colson Kelly (also known as Machine Gun Kelly) was born April 22 1991 in Texas. The songs he composed are known to blend modern hip-hop and rock and alternative music. Before making the move to Bad Boy Records Baker released four mixtapes from 2007 to the year 2010. The Cleveland rapper, who delivers the lyrics with as much speed as a bullet-train, experienced an explosive rise in the latter part of 2011 when he switched from self-publishing mixtapes to being signed to reputable labels. From there his career skyrocketed every album ranking in the top ten.
